Dinkey Drivers
Drivers for our original Dinkey range of dongles can be found below. Your operating system may refer to these devices as USB Key Ver 1.0 Microcosm Ltd. or USB Security Key.
Dinkey Pro and Dinkey FD dongles do not require drivers.
Windows
Download setupdrv.zip (111 kB) Please see this knowledge base article for important compatibility information for Windows 10 and newer.
- Remove all Dinkey dongles attached to your computer.
- Download the ZIP file from the link above and extract our driver installation utility, setupdrv.exe.
- Right-click on setupdrv.exe and select Run as administrator. The program automatically installs the correct drivers for your version of Windows.
- Insert a Dinkey dongle and allow the New Hardware Wizard to automatically locate and configure the drivers.
macOS (OS X)
Download mac-os-x-drivers.zip (155 kB) - Remove all Dinkey dongles attached to your computer.
- Download the ZIP file from the link above and extract our driver installation utility, SetupDriver.
- Run SetupDriver and follow the installation steps. You will need to enter an administrator password when prompted. SetupDriver automatically installs the correct drivers for your version of macOS.
- Insert a Dinkey dongle. If it is not detected by DDLook or your protected software, restart your Mac.
